When it came to getting my dress I did very little ‘planning’. All I did was plan the appointments and try on a lot of dresses and then plan a lot of appointments again – for the alterations and fittings etc. Therefore the dress section in my planner is surprisingly simple.

What kind of planning would you need to do to buy a dress?

Well for buying a wedding dress you usually need to book in appointments and then you might need multiple fittings etc. Wedding dresses end up being a bit more complicated than your average dress if you are buying a wedding dress (rather than an off the shelf dress).

I suppose with the dress, being the central ornament of the wedding, it just takes seeing the right one and falling in love with it.

Exactly. I found it was just about finding the right one. The planning element was the fittings and getting everything ready in time.
