How to: Use the Progress Tracker in your Printed Portal Planners

The Printed Portal Goals Notebooks include a Progress Tracker to help track your progress through your goals. The progress tracker is a grid layout and includes space for tracking 13 steps of 13 different goals. We choose the number 13 because there are 12 months in the year and therefore this would be 12 plus one for luck.

You might choose to have 12 goals for the year with the intention of doing one or two steps each month, or alternatively, you might decide to do one goal a month. By choosing to have 13 goals and 13 steps, this means that you will always have an extra one for luck. You can choose all your goals upfront, or you may add goals later in the year.

Each time to check off a step for your goals, you should check off the relevant box in your Progress Tracker. You might do this as and when you check off a step, or you might choose to get up to date when you sit down to do an end of month review to check on your progress. Either way, the progress tracker is an opportunity to keep on top of where you are and hopefully, by the end of the year, you will have a fully completed tracker page.

I personally choose to check things off at my end of month review and use a different pen each time so that I can see what I did in each month and how quickly (or slowly) I progressed through each of the goals. The information can help me learn and help me to plan and make decisions for the following year.
